About "After Saying Goodbye"
"I wrote the shell of this song during the middle of the pandemic around the same time I was recording my debut album, but I finished it up a little too late to include in the tracklist for the record. The album came out and I was so swept up in the promotion and press that this tune, "After Saying Goodbye," was lost in the shuffle. I accidentally stumbled across it again about two years later, and ended up rewriting most of the verses and added a new bridge and chorus. In many ways it's a different song now, but it was great to revisit some writing I'd missed as the world opened back up." -Jake Thistle
